Intelligent 4D cropping tool
The 4D cropping tool present in Huygens Essential (and available also in the FreeWare mode) allows you to trim images along four dimensions and to delete uninteresting channels. In that way you deploy your computers processing power to only the interesting parts of the image.
The time needed to deconvolve an image increases more than proportional with its volume. Therefore, DeConvolution can be accelerated considerably by cropping the image. Huygens Essential is equipped with an intelligent cropper which automatically surveys the image to find a reasonable proposal for the crop region. In computing this initial proposal the Microscopic Parameters are taken into account, making sure that cropping will not have a negative impact on the deconvolution result.
