Huygens freeware capabilities
Part of the functionality in Huygens Software can be used as freeware:
- The components of the Huygens Suite (like Huygens Essential) have many free tools when used without a License String. You can use them for example to read and convert between many File Formats, (as ICS or Tiff files), or to view 3D stacks with the Twin Slicer. Some of the freeware tools are:
- Image read/write in many File Formats (a few special ones require a license)
- 4D Intelligent Cropper
- Volume Visualization: Twin Slicer and Sfp Renderer.
- Multi Channel joining
- Convert between different space and time dimensionalities
- Invert the image
- Mirror the image
Moreover, you can always request a free test license. With a test license you can, for a limited period, use all tools and optional modules like deconvolution, visualization and analysis. Just contact SVI to → Test The Software!
Examples of freeware uses of Huygens
The open source Scientific Image Data Base microscopic image archive uses the programmable Huygens Scripting in freeware mode to handle 3D images and create 2D thumbnails by using MIP projections.
