Available platforms

Our software is based on cross platform technology which makes us one of the few software companies in the microscopy field that have their software available on Microsoft Windows, Apple Mac OS X, Linux and SGI Irix. All our applications have the same look and feel on all platforms, except where the differences are created by the window manager of the operating system that is being used. For all platforms there is a 64-bit version of Huygens available!

Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7

Processor: AMD Athlon or Intel Pentium 4 and higher. The recommended RAM memory is 2 GB or larger.

Apple Mac OS X

Mac OS X Tiger v10.4 and up. Mac OS X 10.5 is required for full 64 bit capabilities, and for full multiprocessor support on Intel platforms. Processor: Intel or G5 PowerPC or higher. Recommended RAM memory: 2 GB or larger.

GNU Linux

Linux RedHat, SuSE and Ubuntu are supported, but it works in many other distributions. Runs on processors Pentium IV, Core (Intel) and Athlon (AMD). The recommended RAM memory is 2 GB or larger.

SGI IRIX

This platform is not supported anymore, but some versions of the software for Irix are available on request.
