Huygens Remote Manager 2.1 released.
New releases for the web solution Huygens Remote Manager are usually launched once a year in spring but the HRM development team made so many improvements and new functionalities since Spring 2011 that a second release was issued on December 6.
The growing number of image facilities owning the on-line web-based Huygens Core (4.1)/HRM (2.1) combination use it both for individual image improvement and for improving and speeding up the analysis of their high throughput data.
In Spring 2011 the 2.0 Huygens Remote Manager release included many improvements like a renewed SNR (Signal To Noise Ratio) estimator, improved templates and metadata-checking during run-time.
The extra 2011 release of the HRM 2.1 shows a cleaner and more elegant design and features a long list of new functionalities and fixes including: extended LDAP support. It is further expanded with a redesigned mechanism by which template parameters can be overridden at run time (for a practical example see http://huygens-rm.org/home/?q=node/36).
Furthermore, the very important SNR and BPP calculators were improved and better embedded in the HRM.
Next to that the 2.1 release offers a very easy to use mechanism to customize the HRM home page for your institution highlighting your specific information without touching the HRM source code. See how easy it is: http://huygens-rm.org/home/?q=node/33.
